Edward A. Stern, RN - Marketing and Communications is the Key to Success

"The aim of marketing is to know and understand the customer so well the product or service fits him and sells itself."

Peter F. Drucker

I've had a chance to work on a variety of marketing campaigns. I've loved working on many of them. The samples below are some examples of my favorites:

This was a Branded Reseller package developed for Epoch Internet. I led the process for our CEO and worked with the reseller team and our agency to build this Addy Award Winning piece of collateral. The target audience was CEOs of telecommunications companies. the goal was to sell this target on our exclusive reseller package, deals were typically in the millions, which justified the high end costs in development. Take a look at this remarkable package.
The major prospects our sales team saw at Epoch all got this collateral package. I worked with our agency to design a package that appealed to the business market, not just offer technical "babble." It also had to be flexible enough to enable us to insert different items to focus on the needs of the prospect and what the sales team was trying to sell. Take a look at this package.
The Corporate Overview was developed at the same time I worked with the Agency for the above package. It's goal was simple, tell about our abilities and capacities. Any prospect received this and it was also part of our media kit and our investor kit. Take a look.
At Epoch I was able to get us some great media coverage. Eventually I hired and led our own internal media team. Some of the print and video segments featuring Epoch and me, you can see on the "Speaking Up" section of this site. However, we also put together this material to show off some of the best media quotes we got. See for yourself.
Some of our products at Epoch needed basic data sheets. Here's an example of a typical front back data sheet I developed. We used our internal graphics team to compile them. See the Data Sheet up close.
I directed a lot of direct mail campaigns at Epoch. This one was one of the least expensive and most successful mail post cards I produced with the ad agency. The goal of the message was to let people know that we sold more than our technology. See for yourself.
Gee we has some remarkable ad campaigns at Epoch. Here are some examples of the simple print ads I produced with our agency. Take a look at some of the Ads.
Over a few years Epoch had a huge booth at Internet World. The first year was certainly the most exciting. I was asked to take the lead in the project only about 2 week before the show. It seems that the CEO had a vision and the internal team working on that vision were too far some meeting their goals. I was only with the company a few months and I pulled a team together from my group and our ad agency and we pulled off an amazing booth. Take a look at one of our booths.

CarrerBuilder Radio was a grassroots program I started with some of our content folks. To actually became a bigger marketing effort than we ever expected. Listen to some of the programs.
